Batam during the long weekends!

8 AUG - 10 AUG

Spent my long weekends at Batam with boyfriend and family despite having a paper on the coming monday and next week. But I felt that it was a well-deserved break for me after rushing all the projects and revisions hehe. Had tons of good food there and great company and what's best is that I get to fall asleep in boyfriend's arms and wake up next to his face the next morning! Bff asked why do we keep having stay-overs in hotels and if we are obsessed with having private time with one another HAHA.

(btw the hotel we stayed in is called BCC Hotel, love it)

I came back to Singapore with really bad diarrhea and vomiting the next day. I think it was caused by the hygiene level there? Maybe it's food poisoning.... I've been feeling too awful for the past three days T_T Out of 8 of us, 5 of us were sick, 1 was down with mild fever and 1 had mild diarrhea. Urgh so scary. I will never over-eat too much street food in the future T_T Been visiting the doctor twice this month and it's quite scary how bad my health turned out to be when finals are less than 7 days away..........

We took Sindo Ferry to Batam! Speaking of ferry.... The ferry terminals in SG and Indonesia are damn inefficent, but Indonesia's worse for sure. Gosh no more ferry unless necessary....

Upon reaching Indonesia's Ferry Terminal! Dad got me a local SIM card so I am contactable and I haz 3G on the go~

 

Our hotel's room!! I think our room is the most spacious and pretty one among the other rooms we got but our room doesn't have a decent view!:(

Being an ultimate bubble tea fan (esp dingtea), I was damn happy when I found out that there's an authentic taiwan bbtea shop right beside our hotel in Batam City Square Mall! I only drank once throughout the three days cos other days I was just feeding myself w Baskin Robins Icecream (YES ITS IN THE MALL TOO)

We had dinner at this coffee shops for both days! This place has yummy 叉烧烧肉 and 蚵仔煎 yumsss too much oyster lol that explains the food poisoning................

Look what I found in their supermarkets!! But they are not filled with like cheese cream or barbeque cream :( It's just flat biscuits with the powder :(

I guess in Indonesia it isn't illegal to put up fireworks whenever you like? So we get free fireworks view outside our hotel window hehe

Second day!

We had lunch at A&W at Nagoya Hill Mall!! It's so-so only, I prefer Popeye's tho HAHA. But still, give it a try! I will go back for the waffle ice cream if I head to Batam again ;)

We bought donuts for our tea break (HAHA) cos we had time to kill. Yum tum tum. I dont usually eat such donuts in Singapore lol cos no feel. Yups HAHA.

After the trip I gained 1-2kg but I lost them all after two days of puking and pooping lol.
